How Do I Set Up My Domain Name on My Server?

Ok now you are up to speed, I’m going talk about what to do next so that your domain name is setup on your server. This is a little bit different depending on the level of hosting that you have.
Basic Hosting Package
If you bought a basic package,you are allowed to have as many domain names as you want under the one main domain name. This is a subdomain arrangement. If you purchased hostgator hosting it would be either a baby or a business account. Just login to your c-panel (the details will be in your welcome letter ) and navigate to the add-on domain area. Simply fill in the required fields and you have now connected your domain name to your hosting.
Reseller Hosting Package
If you puchased a reseller account then you login to your WHM (web host manager). Once again the details you need will be in the welcome email the you received from the hosting company. Once you are logged in to your whm then just create a new account. You will need to setup your packages. (This involves chosing your bandwidth and quota) The size of your package will depend on the size of the website files for the particular website and the number of expected monthly visitors.

The best thing about the hosting company that I recommend is their support. If you have any problems at all then you will find instructional videos that show you exactly what to do, on their website. Failing that there is 24 hour 7 day a week, live online chat supoort to talk you through any problem you might have – day or night!
